Fragger Bonus Blast

June 28th 2010 02:25
Fragger Bonus Blast is a turn based computer game where the aim is to blow up all your enemies. The game is similar to turned based computer games like Worms.
To make the game more interesting the player is given a limited number of grenades per level and some enemies are harder to access than others. Enemies don't have to be blown up by grenades. Instead, taking out supports and sending enemies falling to their deaths works just as well.

To throw a grenade, set the power and aim with the mouse then click to throw the grenades and blow up your targets!

Genre: Turn Based Strategy
Time to Play: 10 minutes
Difficulty: Medium

Mankind

June 11th 2010 04:13
Mankind is a massively multiplayer online real-time strategy (MMORTS) computer game initially published in December 1998.

Unlike most MMOGs of its era, "Mankind" was one of the first games where all players played in the same persistent universe, trying to stake out an empire starting with only a small ship.

Mankind has gone through several revisions since its first release in 1998. Its distribution channel was also unique in that, unlike some other MMOGs such as EverQuest and World of Warcraft, the program was not heavily distributed through retail stores, but rather was downloaded on-line. Players pay a monthly fee for access the game.

During the game rework in 2009, the graphic engine of Mankind was fully ported to DirectX. Further, dozens of small improvements were implemented.

Genre: RTS

Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty is a Dune computer game released in 1992 by Westwood Studios. It is based upon David Lynch's 1984 movie Dune, an adaptation of Frank Herbert's science fiction novel of the same name.

While not the first real-time strategy (RTS) game, Dune II established a format that would be followed for years to come, and was the first to use the mouse to move units, allowing players to fluidly interact with their troops. As such, Dune II was the first modern real-time strategy game. Striking a balance between complexity and innovation, it was a huge success and laid the foundation for the coming Command & Conquer, the Warcraft series, and many other RTS games
