A new free fun online game every day. Who needs to work?

Cake Mania

May 2nd 2007 12:58
Cake Mania is a popular Time Management game developed by Sandlot Games in 2006. The game is available for game consoles, on the web and as a mobile game for cell phones.

The player controls Jill, a baker of cakes. Customers come in and line up, giving Jill their orders. The player must then direct Jill so that she creates the cake each customer wants before the customer becomes tired of waiting and leaves. Jill can use other items such as cupcakes and a TV to placate the customers.

Virtual money earned in the game can be used to buy additional baking equipment such as a second oven, or a better frosting machine, or even faster shoes to keep Jill ahead of the orders.

Virtual Villagers

March 23rd 2007 15:24
Virtual Villagers is a 2006 village simulator from independent game publisher Last Day of Work.

The story is that one day, a volcanic eruption causes a small tribe of people to flee their homeland. Soon, they are washed ashore on the island of Isola, and you, the player, become their benevolent overseer. Isola is a bountiful small island, but work needs to be done and you need to help your villagers survive by telling them what to do.

The player trains their villagers to farm, breed, build, research, and heal, in an effort to solve puzzles and start island events. The villagers explore Isola (the fictitious island) on their own, with some direction provided by the player. The game simulation progresses in real time even when the game is not running, even when the computer is off; Later, when the player begins playing again, the simulation calculates the result of the simulation during the intervening time. Some of your little villagers can die, due to lack of food. When your villagers have run out of food, you can use Tech Points that you gain from research, to buy their abilities to fish, farm, or forage. But, once there are no more living villagers, the game is over. Because of improving their lifestyles, the game can last for months for the player to win. There are sixteen steps and no game levels for the game.
