Air Force Test - Red Square

October 29th 2007 02:47
This will drive you nuts!! Have fun!

The object of the game is to move the red block around without getting hit by the blue blocks or touching the black walls.

If you can go longer than 18 seconds you are phenomenal. It's been said that the US Air Force uses this for fighter pilots. They are expected to go for at least 2 minutes.

Give it a try but be careful...it is addictive!!

To play Red Square, click here.

I survived 21.189 seconds, proof is below.
See if you can beat that!

It is being developed for both the PC and Xbox 360 with special content being made for each platform. Special content includes a campaign mode for the Xbox 360 only. The Xbox 360 version is planned for release six months after the PC. Huxley will be a cross-platform game.

In the near future, Nuclearites bombard the world. Destructive earthquakes, massive tidal waves and dramatic climate changes wreak havoc around the globe, isolating continents and driving the human race into chaos. Those who survive the destruction dream of tranquility, but an eruption among the human race and the appearance of horrible mutants drives the world into further disorder. Racism and oppression cause rebellious uprisings and war that divide the landscape between two powers: Sapiens and Alternative. At the heart of the war emerges a powerful energy source called the Lunarites. The Lunarites were created by Huxley, a scientist and possible saviour.

Both factions seek glory and victory, fighting mercilessly for the Lunarites and their very existence.

The story was thought to be based on the novel Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, hence the name, however Webzen has denied any tie to the book's story saying it was just an inspiration.

Neocron

October 24th 2007 11:31
Neocron is commonly thought of as the one of world's first Cyberpunk MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game). It features action-oriented combat, similar to first-person shooters in a 3D environment.

The player character may be chosen from four distinct classes. Available are genetically engineered super soldiers, ("GenTank"), the slight, yet dexterous and intelligent "Spy", the psionically focused and physically underpowered "Psi Monk" as well as the "Private Eye" (PE), commonly referred to as a Jack of All Trades for its ability to use aspects of all the other classes.

Later the player may assign "skill points" (gained from experience) into specific abilities, e.g. Construction, Research, Droning and Rifles. Any character or class can use the most basic forms of these, but to master any one of them requires a large commitment in skill points. Jobs range from the notorious hacker, who dives into the alternate reality of Hacknet, technicians who research or construct items and (especially) weapons, to the common grunt, who fights alongside his clan for the outposts, spread around the wastelands (Note that jobs are not physically imposed, they are a generalization taken from how you have distributed your skill points in your attributes.)

Face of Mankind

October 22nd 2007 11:14
Face of Mankind is a first/third person massively multiplayer online roleplaying game in a futuristic persistent world. The game, which may be played with a variety of points of view, leans heavily on roleplay and community, thanks to a powerful faction system and completely player-driven politics. It is also the first game of its kind to use a player-generated mission system.

Players throughout the game world co-operate, compete or co-exist in a realistic and futuristic world of the 24th century. The plot is constantly evolving, with storylines being constantly started by the game's staff. The skill and luck of the players from rival factions change the balance of power. Highly ranked players create missions which are split and handed down through the hierarchy. The ultimate objective of the game is to evolve one's character to its ultimate potential, whether that is the accumulation of wealth, power, social status, or a combination of all three.

Face of Mankind first person shooter

Face of Mankind attributes part of its success to its Player versus Player system. For the most part, the players are required to police themselves. While automated turrets guard certain public facilities, no place is necessarily safe. While some players act as the police, protecting the unguarded areas of each cities, some take on the roles of murderers and criminals.

Occasionally, due to political or economic situations, one faction might declare war on another. In these situations, members of the involved factions can respond to a faction-wide call for military aid. With potentially hundreds of troops mobilized on each side, massive battles often ensue. Due to the existence of inter-faction alliances, other factions can be sucked into a growing conflict, and escalation into galactic war is not unheard of. Such wars can have the effect of changing the established 'world order' and unsettling the balance of power.

Snake

October 19th 2007 11:37
Snake is a video game that came out in the mid-to-late 1970s. It gained popularity in the 1990s for its inclusion on some mobile (cellular) phones. The player controls a long, thin creature, resembling a snake, which roams around on a bordered plane, picking up food (or some other item), trying to avoid hitting its own tail or the "walls" that surround the playing area. Each time the snake eats a piece of food, its tail grows longer, making the game increasingly difficult. The user controls the direction of the snake's head (up, down, left, or right), and the snake's body follows. The player cannot stop the snake from moving while the game is in progress. You can now play Snake for free online.

Flash Centipede

October 17th 2007 11:27
As a tribute to the classic Atari Centipede arcade game from 1980, Emil Korngold has attempted to recreate the game in Flash. The game is still in beta form, and yet his attempt seems to capture much of the action and addictive gameplay of the original.

Other than using the mouse for movement and firing instead of a trackball, this version of the game is played in almost exactly the same way: fire upon the descending centipede to remove sections from it and remove it from play. As sections of the worm are hit, they turn to mushrooms that then cause the worm to turn and descend another line lower. Familiar enemies and power-ups are also included with their classic behaviour, such as the spider with its erratic, unpredictable movement and the flea that leaves poisoned mushrooms in its wake

Spider Solitaire

October 10th 2007 11:42
Known to many as the king of all solitaire games, the Spider Solitaire card game is a classic. It is one of the more popular two-deck solitaire games. You must be skilled at manipulating the cards you're dealt. Overcome obstacles and bad cards, and treasure the good cards you have. Use them wisely.
The main purpose of the game is to remove all cards from the tableau, assembling them in the tableau before removing them. Initially, 54 cards are dealt to the tableau in ten piles, face down except for the top cards. The tableau piles build down by rank, and in-suit sequences can be moved together. The 50 remaining cards can be dealt to the tableau ten at a time when none of the piles are empty.
