Dominoes

July 30th 2007 10:43
There are various types of games that are played with dominoes. The version most commonly played on Yahoo! Games, is usually referred to as Five-Up, Muggins, or All Fives. This version is a two-player or four-player tile game where players place bones (dominoes) with matching ends in a cross-like pattern. The object is to form chains of dominoes. The player scores points when the ends add up to some multiple of five (5, 10, 15, 20, etc.). Once a player or team reaches a total of 50, 100, 250, or 500, depending on the total set by the host of the table, that player wins the game.

Yahoo! Games also offers two variants of the standard Five-Up game. These include Best of Ten Hands and No Spinner. These change the gameplay and scoring slightly.

Table Tennis Tournament

July 23rd 2007 14:33
Table Tennis Tournament is an incredibly realistic (and addictive) Ping Pong game that you can play for free online.

Instructions: Move your bat with the mouse. To serve, move the bat towards the ball. No clicking is required. If you hit the net while serving, you need to serve again.
The further and faster you move your bat from side to side the more spin you'll put on the ball. The further and faster you move the bat backward and forward the harder you will hit the ball.
To hit low shots, press and hold the 'Z' key. To raise you bat for high shots, press and hold the 'X' key.
The ball must bounce on your side of the table before you hit it. If you hit a ball on the full, you will loose the point.
To win a game, you must score 11 points with at least a 2 point margin over your opponent. To win the tournament, beat them all!

Genre: Table Tennis/ Ping Pong
Time to Play: 10 Minutes
Difficulty: Medium/
Available From: MiniClip

Tales of Pirates

July 20th 2007 08:56
Tales of Pirates is a free, 3D Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) developed by the Chinese company MOLI. Tales of Pirates is published by IGG (Internet Gaming Gate), who have also published two other games, Voyage Century Online and Myth War Online. Several versions of the game are available for specific countries or regions such as an older version Pirate King Online.

In the game, players fight monsters to develop their skills, levels and other items. With these attributes the player may also do quests and use items. Players gain experience points to level up, which in turn allows them to be stronger. With each level, players get skill points and attribute points which allow them to advance in certain areas to their liking.

Once an account is created, players are able to log in to a server and choose a character to begin the game. All characters start at level 0 and initially level up through very simple introductory quests designed to teach about the game. These quests take a few minutes to complete and will give a new player an idea of how to move, control their character and other simple concepts. At level 10 a character can choose a specific class related to the character they chose. A "Phyllis" character can become an Explorer, Hunter or Herbalist, for example.

When a player levels up, they have receive 1 point every level but every 10 levels they gain 5 attribute points.

Strength: Increases melee damage for swords, staffs, and daggers.
Accuracy: Increases accuracy and critical hit rate for all classes. More damage for bows.
Constitution: Increases HP (health points), faster health regeneration, and defence.
Agility: Increases attack speed and dodge rate.
Spirit: Increases SP (spirit points) - magical energy - as well as increasing SP regeneration rate.
In addition to the class-specific skills that characters can use, there are generic "life skills" available for all, such as Woodcutting, Salvage and Fishing. These skills allow characters to make money and support their ships at sea.

Starting at level 15, a player may purchase a ship with which they may sail on the water (which comprises 90% of the world map). Certain elements of the game can only be accessed by the water including the usage of life skills like fishing and salvaging, as well as access to the three mazes (Forsaken City, Dark Swamp and Demonic World) that make up most of the mid- and high-end game content.

To find out more you can visit the official site here, or you can download the game from here.

Extreme Pamplona

July 11th 2007 12:54
The Running of the Bulls (in Spanish, el encierro - literally, "the enclosing") involves running in front of bulls that have been let loose on a course of a sectioned-off subset of a town's streets. The most famous running of the bulls is that of the nine-day festival of San Fermín in Pamplona, although they are held in towns and villages across Spain during the fiesta season, usually in the run-up to the corrida, or bull-fight, and in some cities in southern France, most notably Bayonne. Unlike bull fights, which are performed by professionals, anyone may participate in an encierro, and there is never violence towards the bulls — even tail-pulling is frowned upon. Injuries are common, both to the participants who may be gored or trampled, and to the bulls, whose hooves grip poorly on the paved or cobbled street surfaces.

Now you can compete in the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona in the free online game Extreme Pamplona
